Qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table, the international standard of excellence in life insurance advice.
I am L. R. Sahu, the insurance advisor behind Insurance Service Center in Raipur. Over twenty years I have helped families and business owners across Chhattisgarh put the right protection in place — for the income that runs the home, the education that shapes a child's future, and the retirement that should never depend on anyone else. Your protection is my commitment.
A business, a home, a child's degree, a retirement without compromise. Each of those goals has a date attached and a number attached. My work is to make sure the number is ready by the date, whatever life does in between.
Protecting today is what makes securing tomorrow possible. A plan is only worth taking if you understand exactly what it does and what it does not do.
— L. R. Sahu, Insurance AdvisorI have spent twenty years in life insurance, working out of Insurance Service Center in Raipur. In that time the products have changed many times over, but the job has not: understand what a family actually needs, then find the plan that delivers it — and say so plainly when a plan does not fit.
I am a qualified member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), USA, an international association of insurance and financial services professionals. Membership has to be earned again every single year, and it carries a code of conduct that puts the client's interest ahead of the sale. That standard is the one I work to.
My clients include salaried families, shop and business owners, doctors, NRIs and high-net-worth households. Their needs differ enormously, but every engagement follows the same order: understand the responsibility first, calculate the number second, choose the product last. Before you sign anything you will know the charges, the lock-in, the exclusions and what the plan will not do. After you sign, I remain the person you call — for a premium query, a change of nominee, or a claim.
Qualifications matter because of what they require you to do every year, not because of how they look on a wall.

Two decades of advising through changing products, changing tax rules and changing markets.
Recognised at the Manager's Club convention, Raipur Division, for the 2022–23 membership year.
Families who started with a single policy now plan for their children with the same advisor.
On transparency: no guaranteed returns, fixed profits or assured claim approvals are promised anywhere on this website. Where a plan is described as a guaranteed income plan, the guarantee is the one written into that company's policy document — and that document is what you are shown, in full, before you decide.
Ten areas of planning, each starting from the same question — what are you protecting, and by when does it need to be ready?
The foundation. If anyone depends on your income, this is the plan that comes before all the others.
Working backwards from the year your child enters college to what you set aside this month.
Turning a working life's savings into an income that arrives every month after the working stops.
Deductions used properly, through instruments that also serve a purpose beyond the tax receipt.
Disciplined accumulation over long horizons, matched to how much risk you can actually live with.
Plans that pay a defined income for a defined period, with the terms set out in the policy document.
For proprietors and directors, where the business and the family balance sheet are tangled together.
Cover for non-resident Indians with family, property or obligations still in India.
Making sure what you built reaches the people you meant it for, without dispute or delay.
Medical, motor and property cover, so a single event does not undo years of saving.
Insurance is a promise that may not be tested for thirty years. It is worth checking who is standing behind it.
MDRT membership is re-earned annually and comes with a code of ethics that puts your interest first.
You hear the charges, the lock-in and the exclusions as clearly as the benefits. The decision stays yours.
I have seen which plans hold up over decades and which look attractive only on the day they are sold.
Preparing the documents and following up with the company is part of the service, not a favour.
Premiums, endorsements, nominee changes, claims — the same person handles all of it, years later.
What you share is used only to advise you, and is never sold on to anyone else.

Experiences from families and business owners I have worked with.
He sat with my balance sheet before he showed me a single product. For a business owner that is rare — most advisors start with the brochure and work backwards.
I asked him about a plan a relative was pushing and he told me plainly it was wrong for my age. He talked me out of a sale. That is when I decided to work with him.
We started a child plan when my daughter was four. She is in engineering college now and the fees came from that plan. Twenty years of steady advice, and he never once chased me.
I live in Dubai and thought Indian cover would be complicated for an NRI. He handled the documentation from Raipur and kept me updated at every stage.
When my husband passed away, Sahu ji brought the claim forms to our home and completed the whole process himself. We were in no state to handle any of it.
My tax planning used to be a scramble every March. He mapped it out for the whole year and showed me which deductions I had been leaving unused.
Fill in the form below and your details reach my WhatsApp directly. I usually reply the same day.
The questions people ask me most often, answered plainly.
No. The first conversation, the assessment of your needs and the comparison of plans are free, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
The Million Dollar Round Table is an international association of life insurance and financial services professionals, headquartered in the USA. Membership has to be qualified for afresh each year and carries a code of ethics requiring the client's interest to come first. For you it is a signal of consistency and accountability, not a promise about any particular product.
It depends on your annual income, the loans you are servicing, the number of people who depend on you and how many years they will depend on you for. We add those together and arrive at a specific figure rather than picking a round number.
It guarantees the payout schedule written into that specific policy document — the amount, the start date and the duration, subject to premiums being paid as agreed. It does not guarantee a market return. Before you commit I show you exactly which lines in the document carry the guarantee and what the surrender terms are.
Generally yes, subject to the insurer's eligibility rules, your country of residence and the required documentation. Premiums are usually paid from an NRE or NRO account. I handle the paperwork here in Raipur and keep you updated while you are abroad.
Yes. Across Raipur and nearby areas I can fix a time and come to you. For clients further away or overseas, a video call works equally well.
This is the most important part of the work. The document checklist, the forms and the follow-up with the company — I stay with the family through all of it.
Usually Aadhaar, PAN, a photograph, bank details and proof of age. Depending on the plan and the sum assured, income proof or a medical check-up may also be required. I tell you this in advance so nothing comes as a surprise later.
